Preventive Initiatives: Design and lead preventive initiatives aimed at addressing mental health issues before they escalate.
Training Workshops: Conduct workshops for staff and parents to raise awareness about mental health and educational challenges.
D. Consultation and Collaboration
Interdisciplinary Teams: Serve on interdisciplinary teams to address complex student needs involving academic performance, behavior, and social integration.
Parental Involvement: Engage with parents to discuss their child's psychological assessments, progress, and ways they can support their child at home.
Professional Collaboration: Consult with other mental health professionals when additional expertise is needed.
E. Research and Compliance
Stay Updated: Maintain knowledge of current research in educational psychology to implement evidence-based practices.
Policy Development: Assist in developing policies that impact student welfare and comply with federal and state regulations.
Record Keeping: Ensure all student records are kept confidential and secure, in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Psychology: Required, preferably with a specialization in school psychology.
Certification/Licensure: Must be licensed as a School Psychologist in the state of operation.
Experience in Educational Settings: Minimum of three years of experience working as a psychologist within an educational setting is preferred.
