Free Whole-House Cleaning Checklist

Dust all surfaces (furniture, shelves, and décor)

Wipe down light switches, electrical outlets, and door handles.

Clean windows (inside), window sills, and tracks

Clean and sanitize mirrors

Sweep and vacuum floors.

Mop floors with an appropriate cleaner.

Empty trash bins and replace them with new liners

Check for and remove any cobwebs.

Organize and declutter any common areas.

Disinfect high-touch areas (e.g., doorknobs, handrails)

Dust and wipe down all furniture (tables, chairs, shelves)

Clean and sanitize remote controls, electronics, and lamps

Vacuum or clean under furniture (couches, chairs)

Wipe down all flat surfaces, including coffee tables and TV stands.

Spot-clean any upholstery or cushions.

Check and clean any decorative items.

Wipe down countertops and backsplashes.

Clean and sanitize sink and faucet

Clean the exterior of appliances (fridge, microwave, oven, dishwasher)

Clean the stovetop and remove any grease or residue.

Wipe down cabinet fronts.

Clean the inside of the microwave and refrigerator (if needed)

Empty trash and recycling bins, and replace liners

Sweep and mop the floor.

Clean and sanitize sinks, faucets, and countertops

Scrub and disinfect the toilet, including the base and under the rim

Clean mirrors and any glass surfaces

Wipe down cabinet fronts and organize contents.

Clean shower or bathtub (tiles, grout, and fixtures)

Sweep and mop the bathroom floor.

Replace or refill toilet paper, soap, and other supplies.

Empty trash bins and replace liners

Dust furniture, shelves, and decorative items

Clean and sanitize all surfaces, including nightstands and dressers

Vacuum carpets or sweep and mop hard floors

Make beds (change linens if requested)

Organize personal items (toys, clothing, etc.)

Clean inside and outside of windows (if accessible)

Wash light fixtures and ceiling fans.

Dust and wipe down baseboards and moldings

Vacuum or clean carpets (steam clean, if required)

Clean the inside of the oven and refrigerator (if requested)
