Please complete this form daily to ensure a safe, clean, and well-prepared environment for children in your care.

Arrival and Check-In

• Record each child's attendance, including arrival and departure times, along with parent or guardian signatures.

• Check that all emergency contact information is up to date.

• Verify any special instructions from parents regarding allergies, medication, or special care needs.

• Ensure all children have their personal belongings, such as a change of clothes and comfort items.

• Greet each child warmly, helping them transition comfortably into the daycare setting.

Health and Safety Checks

• Sanitize all toys, tables, and high-contact surfaces before the children arrive.

• Inspect indoor areas for hazards, including loose cords, sharp objects, or unsecured furniture.

• Check playground and outdoor equipment for any damage or safety issues.

• Confirm that all first aid supplies and emergency kits are fully stocked.

• Review emergency procedures and make sure exit routes are clear.

Supplies Inventory

• Verify that diapers, wipes, and other hygiene supplies are in stock for each child’s needs.

• Ensure cleaning supplies are available and stored securely out of children’s reach.

• Check that meal prep items (disposable plates, cutlery, napkins) are available as needed.

• Stock arts and crafts supplies (crayons, markers, paper) for daily activities.

• Confirm any necessary medication for children is properly labeled and securely stored.

Meal and Snack Prep

• Review children’s allergies and dietary restrictions before food preparation.

• Prepare meals and snacks as per the daycare’s daily menu, following nutritional guidelines.

• Arrange snacks and meals in portions that are easy for children to handle.

• Maintain a clean and sanitized food preparation area.

• Record meal times and portions to share with parents, if applicable.

Activity Setup

• Set up age-appropriate educational toys and books to encourage learning and creativity.

• Prepare outdoor play equipment, ensuring it’s clean and safe for use.

• Arrange arts and crafts materials for creative activities, keeping safety scissors, glue, and markers accessible.

• Organize a designated nap or quiet time area with clean mats and blankets.

• Plan and display the daily schedule for activities, meals, and quiet time.

End-of-Day Procedures

• Sanitize toys, tables, and other surfaces to prepare for the next day.

• Record any observations about each child’s day (activities, mood, incidents) for parent reports.

• Pack and organize each child’s belongings, ensuring they leave with all items.

• Check for any replenishments needed in supplies or inventory.

• Lock up securely, and ensure all safety protocols are followed before closing.
