Types of Project Reports
When you want your coworkers, employees, higher management, and other people to know about your future project plan or proposal template, a project report is a necessity. In this way, you will be able to show them specifically about the current status of a certain project, what is its purpose and objectives, who are the people involve, and so on. A project report should not be limited to one type but, rather, multiple.
Here are some of the project reports of which we know:
- Risk register. This is the type where it recaps the risks that have been identified, investigated, and evaluated at the project-planning phase. You never know, but risks are always hiding in the background of any project or plan waiting to ruin it. That is why you need to plan for every and all situation your project is going to encounter.
- Status summary. This type is where the general state of the project communicates to the stakeholders. Its goal is to give the parties a regulated summary of the current condition for further analysis and decision making.
- Executive summary. This is a very distinct type of report. It is written in a different language than the reports stated above. This type is a high-level report that can provide a solid understanding of the project status, the benefits it give, how the project suits into future actions, and then eventually improves the reputation of the company.
- Issue Log. This type of report is a way of dealing with the possibility that has either come to awareness or an unexpected event that might happen. This helps decision makers inspect the state of current issues and understand the bond between the risks and the issues.
