The organizational map is a diagram showing a company's relationship between one official and another, or others, graphically. It is often used to illustrate the relationship between one department and another, or between others, or between one feature of an entity and another, or others. This chart is useful in that it helps to imagine a complete organization through the image it represents. The organizational chart of a corporation usually shows relationships between individuals within an organization. These relationships could include managers with sub-workers, managers with managing directors, chief executive officers with different departments, and so on. There are three different types of organizational charts including hierarchical, matrix, and flat.
