- Body composition. The measure of fat in the body versus different tissues, for example, the muscle, bones and skin. This is usually measured using an assortment of tests and equipment. Basic tests using scientific computations or calipers are commonly used and are inexpensive. More advanced tests, such as weighing while submerged underwater, are far less common and significantly more expensive.

- Cravings can mean that your body lacks nutrients from your diet or could also mean that you are thirsty or hungry. Before giving in to your cravings, especially if you have just had your meal, drink a glass of water or take a nap to overcome them.
