Assistant Accountant
Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
Supporting the preparation of monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
Responsible for general ledger and preparation of journal entries, fixed asset or inventory accounting, balance sheet reconciliation cost accounting, and inventory roll forward.
Assisting with budget preparations and financial planning processes.
Performing variance analyses to understand the difference between planned and actual figures.
Working with tax returns and preparing payroll functions to ensure compliance.
Serving as a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters.
Supporting external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.
Daily banking requirements.
Assisting in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
Qualifications
An Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is required, a bachelor’s degree in these fields is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of Finance or Accounting.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools and knowledge of ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff.
