JOB TITLE:  Accounts Assistant Job Description
DEPARTMENT: Accounting and/or Purchasing

JOB SUMMARY

[YOUR COMPANY NAME] is in search of an accounts assistant whose key duty is to help and assist accountants in the course of their work such as accounting maintenance management and reporting of the company’s financial management, specifically one who is flexible and can work under the supervision of a senior accountant or any person related to the position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares, verifies and tracks daily reports.
  • Performs duties such as task filing, encoding, and basic bookkeeping, handling mail and making phone calls.
  • Ensures all payment and debits are updated and monitored.
  • Creates preparatory accounts and can work on with journals and sales and purchase spreadsheets and ledgers.
  • Assists in controlling the transactions in regards to debtor’s payment (that should be on time).
  • Manages petty cash transactions and may direct preparation of financial reports (if equipped with sufficient experience).

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least a high school graduate with two years accounting experience related task (College graduate is a plus).
  • Has adequate knowledge in excel.
  • Can scan, file and log accounting documents.
  • Has knowledge in preparing invoices, especially with fast-checks.
