Job Role & Summary

A Gas Operator is in charge of extracting or producing natural gas from a variety of sources. He/she researches the different natural sources or reservoirs then proceeds to the upstream operations through various advanced drilling methods. He/she is also responsible for making sure that the pressure of the compressors is within the normal range. Lastly, he/she oversees the production, storage, and distribution of these natural gases.

Responsibilities

Leads in the entire process of gas extraction and production.
Conducts geophysical prospecting of different sources that are positive for gas deposits and assesses its safety for extraction.
Supervises the drilling activities to make wells into gas reservoirs and natural rock formations through the use of specialized equipment and devices.
Prepares and processes gas for industrial and utility use. Accurately computes gas ratios.
Ensures that the production of gas functions along with corporate and environmental policies.
Reads and regulates the temperature, pressure, level, and flow of gas.
Responds to issues or emergencies as soon as they arise. Records every process for documentation, compliance, and review.

Skills

Knows how to operate chemical processes throughparticular measurements.
Knowledgeable in both math and science principles andpractices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with the team and reporting updates.
Mechanically inclined in using pieces of equipment neededfor gas extraction and production.
Exemplary critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
