What Is a Personal Mind Map?
A personal mind map is a presentation of ideas about someone's personal life in a graphical way. A personal mind map can be about emotions, spirituality, physical aspects, financial aspect (budget), goals, family, and more.
How to Make a Personal Mind Map
According to Psychology Today, there is a decline in the well-being of people in the US. This means that people are experiencing less happiness, poor health, and hardships. However, this doesn't mean it's going to be your life forever. You can start small by creating a personal mind map about an area in your life where you want improvement. So, we'll help you with that. So, get your notes ready and take notes of the steps below:
1. Identify an Area Where You Want to Improve
First off, start with an area in your personal life or self. Identify what you want to upgrade or enhance. You can focus on financial matters, physical health, mental health, personal development, identity, or training. Make sure that you choose only one to make your mind map more practical and sensible. Write it on the center as your label.
2. Brainstorm Main Topics
Next, you can proceed to brainstorm the central or main topics as part of your plan. The main subjects are the most important thoughts or ideas on your mind map. It's up to you on how many main aspects or ideas that you want to include.
3. Add Subtopics
After creating a list of the main ideas around your topic, you can continue with creating subtopics for each central idea. Make sure that you draw ideas from your main topics for your subtopics. These things have to have to connect with each other.
4. Keep Your Ideas Flowing
In mind mapping, you should keep your ideas flowing. Have another set of lower-level subtopics for your subtopics on your checklist. Like what you did on the previous step, the subtopics and lower-level subtopics should connect, as well.
5. Add Designs
If you wish to make your mind map have a better visual presentation, then you can add creative art to it. You can add colors, pictures, and other artistic elements to make the design look more beautiful.
