The first warning letters are sent by the HR department to the erring employee in the effort of keeping a business-like conduct, especially in high-stakes businesses and corporations, and correcting employee behavior. If you’re on the HR end of the rope, here are some common elements to add in the first warning letter:

  • Employee’s name. This is basically the “To:” part.
  • Date. You need to state the actual date when the letter is given.
