What Are the Common Details Added to the First Written Warning Letter?
The first warning letters are sent by the HR department to the erring employee in the effort of keeping a business-like conduct, especially in high-stakes businesses and corporations, and correcting employee behavior. If you’re on the HR end of the rope, here are some common elements to add in the first warning letter:
- Employee’s name. This is basically the “To:” part.
- Date. You need to state the actual date when the letter is given.

- Date, time, and location. It is where and when a certain infraction was committed.
