Parental Leave Policy Outline

Introduction

At PixelPioneers Technologies, we understand the importance of work-life balance and the significant role that parenting plays in the lives of our employees. To support our employees in their journey towards parenthood and ensure a family-friendly workplace, we have developed this Parental Leave Policy.

Policy Objectives

The primary objectives of this policy are:

  1. To provide paid time off to employees for the purpose of bonding with a new child or caring for a newly adopted child.

  2. To promote a supportive and inclusive work environment for parents within the organization.

  3. To comply with applicable labor laws and regulations regarding parental leave.

Eligibility

  1. All full-time employees who have been with the company for at least 6 months are eligible for parental leave.

  2. Part-time employees who have worked a minimum of 20 hours per week on average over the last 6 months are also eligible for parental leave.

Types Of Parental Leave

Maternity Leave

Maternity leave is available to biological mothers for the purpose of recovering from childbirth and bonding with the newborn child.

Paternity Leave

Paternity leave is available to biological fathers and non-birth parents for the purpose of bonding with the newborn child.

Adoption Leave

Adoption leave is available to employees who have recently adopted a child.

Duration Of Leave

Maternity Leave

Up to 13 weeks of paid leave

Paternity Leave

Up to 12 weeks of paid leave

Adoption Leave

Up to 12 weeks of paid leave

Leave Application Process

  1. Employees must submit a written request for parental leave at least 2 weeks in advance of the expected start date.

  2. The request should include the expected start and end dates of the leave and the type of leave (maternity, paternity, or adoption).

  3. HR will review and approve the leave request, ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria.

Compensation During Leave

  1. During parental leave, employees will receive 100% of their regular salary.

  2. This compensation will be paid on a regular payroll schedule.

  3. All benefits, including health insurance, will continue during the leave period.

Returning To Work

  1. Employees are expected to return to work on the agreed-upon date after their parental leave.

  2. If an employee wishes to extend their leave, they must request an extension in writing at least 1 week before the scheduled return date.

  3. The company will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests for leave extensions, but they are not guaranteed.
