Reservation Cancellation Letter

Dear Mr. Leary,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to inform you of an unavoidable circumstance where I must cancel a prior reservation.
This decision was not made lightly, and I deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause due to unexpected changes in my schedule, I am unfortunately unable to honor the reservation at this time.
I understand the difficulties this might cause and deeply apologize for any disruption I assure you that if there were any way to avoid this cancellation I would have taken it. However, I am in circumstances beyond my control and therefore must ask for your understanding and cooperation.
I hope that in the future when circumstances allow, I will be able to make a new reservation and enjoy the excellent service that your establishment offers.
