Subject: Employee Leave Policy Update
Dear Team,
We are writing to inform you of an important update to our Employee Leave Policy, which will take effect starting from April 1, 2052. These changes have been made to ensure that we provide a fair and comprehensive leave program to all employees, helping you to manage your work-life balance more effectively.
1. Annual Leave
Employees are entitled to 28 days of paid annual leave per year, which will be credited to your leave balance on April 1, 2052.
Leave requests must be submitted two weeks in advance using the HR portal or via email to your direct manager.
Unused leave days will carry over into the following year, up to a maximum of 42 days. Any excess leave days beyond this limit will be forfeited.
2. Sick Leave
All employees are entitled to 12 days of paid sick leave annually. If additional sick leave is required, employees may use their annual leave balance.
A doctor’s note will be required for sick leave exceeding three consecutive days or for frequent absences that raise concerns.
Sick leave can also be used for medical appointments or to care for a family member.
3. Parental Leave
Eligible employees will receive 20 weeks of paid parental leave for the birth or adoption of a child. This is in addition to any statutory benefits provided by the government.
Parental leave can be taken in a block or intermittently, depending on the employee’s preference and team arrangements.
4. Other Leave
Bereavement Leave: Employees are entitled to 5 days of paid leave in the event of the death of an immediate family member.
Jury Duty Leave: Employees required to serve on jury duty will be granted paid leave for the duration of the service, provided they submit official documentation.
Personal Leave: Employees can request unpaid personal leave for matters not covered by other leave types, subject to manager approval.
Please review the updated policy and ensure that all future leave requests adhere to the new guidelines. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please feel free to contact the HR department. We appreciate your cooperation.
Best regards,
