I sincerely apologize for being late to our scheduled board meeting last [DATE 1]. As I have already relayed to you, I met an unusual traffic on the way to the office due to an unscheduled road repair on my usual route. I am seldom late to work and was never late to a board meeting ever since. Had it come to my knowledge that there was an ongoing road repair on that day, I would have left home way earlier that day and would not have been late to the meeting.
I deeply regret having caused inconveniences to you and the Board. I will endeavor to be more apprehensive when it comes to traffic updates especially in my usual route on the way to the office. I will also make sure to leave home earlier particularly during important meetings to avoid any unexpected delays.
