A team action plan is a document that outlines a team’s step-by-step actions needed to be done to reach the team’s goal. With regards to project management, a team action would result to a specific, realistic, measurable, and attainable goals.

  • what specific actions or changes needed to occur

  • how would the results be useful in the team’s goal
  • the specific time frame of achieving the results of the team action plan created

 

When a team develops an action plan, it must be:

  • Specify all the actions needed in addressing the issues that would hinder the attainment of the goals.
  • A team action plan must also have overall step-by-step procedures that will depict how it would affect in reaching the team goal.
  • Each major function such as marketing, finance, development, and personnel service shall have specific action plans each, and would clearly lay out how it would be implemented.
  • Each team member shall contribute to the overall action plan.
  • There must be a specific format to be followed depending on the needs of the organization.
