Every year, teachers all over the world get their time to shine by being honored and appreciated, and this celebration is referred to as World Teachers Day which is celebrated every 5th of October. In some countries, they find it not enough to honor teachers on just one day, so they celebrate it for an entire month, commencing on September 5th and ending in October of the same day.

Importance of Expressing Appreciation
Yes, we do say “thank you” to people when they do something for us, but most of us say it simply because it’s the norm. We treat those two words as an instinctive reaction while not actually conveying in what it really means. While we did learn this gesture way back from our pre-school days when our parents taught us basic courtesy and respect, we, unfortunately, have forgotten most of what we learned, we probably still do but we choose not to apply those lessons in our lives. So now, let’s refresh our minds and go back to the basics, let’s recall why expressing sincere appreciation is very important. You may also see event flyer templates.
1. The positive vibes don’t just revolve around you when you express appreciation, even the sincerest of smiles can bring out the sun in a person who’s having dark days. When you express appreciation to them, you make them feel important and valuable, and that is a wonderful feeling indeed. You may also see free flyer templates.
2. Showing appreciation can also help you become appreciated, and it can give people a good impression on your character. The more positive other people’s outlook will be on you, the more likable you will become, and this can help you feel fulfilled and satisfied, knowing that you have made the life of another a lot better. 3. It is a totally free and effortless way of making another person happy. It’s just like giving a gift, but not materialistic and without spending anything. The great thing about non-materialistic gifts is that they last a whole lot longer than material ones, and though they are not tangible, they leave a much greater impact on people. Different Ways of Showing Gratitude or Appreciation
While a simple thank you may already be a sufficient way of expressing gratitude and appreciation to a person, why settle for something less when you’ve got other ways of showing it, given that you have the resources. We all know of the saying “going the extra mile”, which clearly means doing something beyond what was asked from us. Indeed, there are multiple ways of showing appreciation to people, and none of them are even difficult to pull off, just a little bit of effort and determination. Now, enough with the chit-chat, let’s get down to business.
- Jimmy Fallon does this multiple times in his late night shows, and so can you. Write a simple thank you card to the person that you want to thank, or if you can’t get your hands on an actual card, write a thank you note on a small piece of paper instead. While not really much, but this very simple gesture can go a long way as to making someone’s life brighter.
- Do things in behalf of your friends, help them out with chores or tasks, or if you’re quite observant enough, do errands for them without actually letting them know to make it a surprise. Regardless of how much you are actually doing for them, it really means a lot to them for making their day easier and less stressful, knowing that you have done it on their behalf. You may also see event flyer examples.
- They say that “a way to a man’s heart is through their stomach”, though a better variation of this would be “a way to a PERSON’s heart is through their stomach”, since this can also be applied to women. Show appreciation to a person by baking some sweet little treats for them. Seeing how much effort you’ve put through just to be able to make something exquisitely delicious is more than just enough to make someone feel special. You may also see event flyer designs.

Do’s and Don’ts When Designing Your Own Flyers
Just because we mentioned that flyers are an effective tool for advertising and promoting, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t any factors that you should take into consideration. The effectivity of flyers depend on two things, the design and the mode of distribution. For now, let’s focus on the design of the flyer since it is the first quality that people lay eyes on when they get their hands on a copy, and below are some of the do’s and don’ts when making your own flyer designs.
1. A flyer is a small sheet of paper printed with relevant information about a product, service, or event, and the space provided for you is quite limited, so DO try to make the most out of that space, but DO NOT try to over-clutter it. If you’ve got a lot to say about your product, then make sure to pick out only the most important or most interesting ones. For one thing, a cluttered design is not an attractive sight, and will simply most likely get your flyer thrown straight into the garbage bin. You may also see printable event flyers.
2. In relation to the previous bullet point, using a creative font may be a good idea to make your flyer visually appealing, but doing it at an excess is just bad for the overall appearance of the flyer. For most experts, they DO suggest using at least two to a maximum of three fonts for the entire flyer design: one for the header, another for the main body, and a third one for other texts. DO NOT go beyond three fonts to make your flyer design looking clean and easy to read. You may also see PSD event flyers.
3. Aside from just relying on the graphical elements and the type of font used to attract attention from people, the content itself of your flyers should be able to turn heads. A good way to do this is by using an awesome and catchy headline, so DO it. And to make your catchy headline easily noticeable, use a bigger-sized font for it. But whatever you do, DO NOT use cliches on your flyers, they are overused, abused, and just simply spell irresponsibility and laziness.
