S.W.O.T. Analysis and Its Individual Meaning

A SWOT analysis is like a strategic planning technique which will come in handy in increasing the manager and the employees their strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities as a team in the office or company. After identifying everything from strengths to threats, you can now plan out how to improve things for your team as an office because that is the goal of everyone in the company, to be better and be at the top of the food chain. 1. S for Strength

The first acronym means strength. Managers should be able to identify what are the good things his or her office posses and the areas that they excel as a team together. As the manager, you can list out the things your office is good at and has been consistent in for how many months. 2. W for Weakness

By this part of the SWOT analysis, the manager has to identify where there is lack of effort in the office by the whole team. This might be hard to do since weaknesses can come from not by the whole team but from one person itself and that can lead you to eventually interrogating that person and firing him or her if he or she does not change for the better. 3. O for Opportunities

This acronym stands for opportunities. What this means is that the manager can use the opportunities the office has in order to fix some weaknesses. These opportunities can be present internally or externally in the office. One situation would be that the manager identifies that he or she has a young and dynamic recruiting team that has the potential to look for younger people who are equipped to do work fast. 4. T for Threats

If you are the manager, you also have to identify what threats are present that could affect your office or the company in a big or small way. One of the most common threats is the competition that is present with other companies or businesses that have similar products or services as you do.
