Job Title: Theatre Director
We are searching for a Theatre Director for Celestine University. The ideal candidate will possess strong abilities to conceptualize and create compelling creative visions for productions—combining their artistic insight and technical proficiency to oversee various elements of our performances. A strong ability to collaborate with our creative team will be a crucial part of this role.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Developing creative visions and concepts for each production in close collaboration with the creative team, including set designers, costume designers, lighting designers, and other stakeholders.
- Leading the casting process by auditioning and selecting actors who fit the vision of the production.
- Developing and managing a comprehensive production schedule, encapsulating rehearsal timelines, technical rehearsals, and performance dates.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Theatre or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Theatre Director or other comparable roles.
- Proficiency in directing different genres of theatre production.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with creative and production teams.
- Solid understanding of the casting process and capability to choose suitable actors.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a comprehensive production schedule.
