Job Title: General Ledger Accountant

A dedicated opportunity has opened up for a skilled and meticulous individual to manage and maintain our company's general ledger. As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be in control of our company's main financial bookkeeping, providing the basis for our income statement and balance sheet. A professional eye for detail and commitment to reliable reporting is essential to succeed in managing these records.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Completing post to the general ledger

  • Conducting account reconciliations

  • Producing financial statements and other reports

  • Ensuring accurate charging of expenses to accounts and cost centers

  • Audit preparation and interaction with internal and external auditors

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

  • Strong understanding of accounting theory

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Excel and Word

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of general ledger accounting experience is required. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, with a proven track record in accurate record-keeping and transaction management.
