Summary of the Position:
The Head of Commercial Finance works closely with the CFO and executive team, developing and executing the company's financial strategy. A major role includes driving the annual budgeting and forecasting process, as well as providing guidance on financial targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success. The position offers a myriad of opportunities to investigate and evaluate potential investments, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships from a financial perspective. This role is a pivotal figure in our company's continuous growth strategy.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to develop and execute company financial strategy.
- Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Provide guidance on financial targets and KPIs.
- Analyze financial performance, variances, and trends for insights.
- Prepare and present financial reports and performance summaries.
- Contribute to decision-making processes through ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to support commercial initiatives.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Develop financial models and scenarios for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Economics, or related field. An MBA or relevant qualifications would strengthen the application.
- At least 10 years of experience in a finance role with strategic responsibility.
- Experience communicating and presenting to executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional decision-making skills, strategic thinking, and a problem-solving mindset.
