Job Title: Pediatric Nurse
We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team. You will be responsible for providing primary and specialty healthcare services to children, from infants to young adults, in a variety of healthcare settings.
Qualifications and Skills
Must hold a current nursing license and possess a degree in Nursing
A Pediatric Nursing Certification is preferred
Have a solid understanding of child growth and development
Must be equipped with the ability to handle stressful situations with a calm demeanor
Excellent communication skills are a must to interpret complex medical jargon to parents and children
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform physical examinations, and administer medicines and vaccines
Operate medical equipment, and carry out blood tests
Provide education and support to patient's families
Report patient conditions to doctors and other medical specialists
Experience
A minimum of two years' professional nursing experience including at least one year of pediatric experience is required. Experience in hospitals, clinics, pediatric offices, and community health organizations is an asset.
Additional Requirements
Due to the nature of the job requiring close interaction with children, all candidates must pass an extensive background check. Physical stamina is paramount as the role involves moving patients and standing for long periods.
