Job Role & Summary

A Marketing Product Manager is responsible for coming up with effective marketing techniques to highlight a new product’s features and benefits. He/she conducts market research on product trends, the timescale for new product releases, product packaging, and pricing. Moreover, a Marketing Product Manager directs the overall product sales team, decides on product messaging, and attends product presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Learns everything about the company’s products, especially for new launches

  • Brainstorms for product marketing strategies that include the product’s advertising, pricing, and launching

  • Copes and analyzes market product trends to know ways how to optimize its products

  • Makes compelling messages across the company’s marketing channels

  • Interprets technical terminologies for the benefit of the users

  • Coordinates with the product marketing team and other affiliations to consult and implement marketing strategies

  • Conducts a test on marketing products, evaluates marketing projects with the company’s standard KPIs, and gives feedback to clients

  • Attends product presentations, meetings, and launches

Skills

  • Knowledgeable with product marketing tactics, such as integrated marketing campaigns like media planning, results tracking, print, and more

  • Possesses excellent technical skills and can handle web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and WebTrends

  • Has the ability to think analytically with strong quantitative skills

  • Capable of coordinating with a team of professionals to come up with excellent marketing strategies

  • Has strong verbal and written communication skills plus the persuasion skill to market the products effectively

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or any other related fields

  • At least five (5) years experience as a Marketing Product Manager, brand manager, or other similar roles

  • A background in copywriting and design is an advantage.
