Qualifications and Skills

The following qualifications are necessary for a Care Assistant:

Responsibilities and Duties

The Care Assistant will perform duties that can include:

  • Providing company and basic care to individuals in their charge.

  • Assisting clients with daily tasks, including but not limited to feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene.

  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of clients at all times.

  • Performing basic health care services such as checking vital signs.

  • Preparing meals and enforcing dietary restrictions when needed.

Experience

Prior work experience in caregiving is beneficial but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Additional Requirements

A background check is required and candidates must have reliable transportation. Candidates should also be physically capable of handling clients' physical needs and the demands of the job, which can include lifting up to 50 pounds.
