SCHOOL ACCOUNTANT JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented School Accountant to join our educational institution in the year 2050. The School Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the school’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency in all financial activities. Key Responsibilities
| 1. | Keep accurate financial records per standard accounting practices. | 
| 2. | Analyze financial records and reports for accuracy and compliance. | 
| 3. | Coordinate budget meetings and ensure proper fund allocation. | 
| 4. | Develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk. | 
| 5. | Oversee payroll duties and ensure timely and accurate salary payments. | 
| 6. | Prepare financial reports for review by school management and the board. | 
| 7. | Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations. | 
| 8. | Manage financial audits and implement audit recommendations. | 
| 9. | Liaise with other departments to discuss, analyze, and resolve financial issues. | 
| 10. | Continuously enhance financial processes for better efficiency. | 
Qualifications and Requirements
| Education | Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred. | 
| Experience | A minimum of five years experience in an accounting role, preferably in an educational institution. | 
| Technical Skills | Proficiency in advanced accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. | 
| Other | Strong knowledge of federal and state financial regulations and compliance requirements. |
