At the top of the organizational structure of China Minmetals Corporation sits the Board of Directors together with the senior leadership team, which is accountable to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. Directly beneath this level is the executive management layer comprising the president (or chief executive) and chief officers who oversee the group’s strategic functions and major business areas. The next tier down covers the division heads for the company’s principal business streams — metals & minerals exploration and trading, metallurgical construction, trade & logistics, and finance & real estate — organised under a “four beams and eight columns” model to manage its multiple operations. At the fourth level, regional and functional departments are led by vice presidents or general managers who oversee specific operational units such as overseas mine development, smelting and processing, warehousing and distribution logistics, industrial finance services and real estate development subsidiaries. Some roles and reporting links beyond this fourth level are not publicly disclosed.
