How to Create an Effective Academic Assessment?

Step 1: Create a New Document in MS Word

Fort the first step create a new document in MS Word. For the title write down ‘Academic Progress Action Assessment‘. Under this include some basic details about the institution and the document. Write down the name of the institution, the department, the date of creating this document and the name of the person who created it.

Step 2: Write an Introduction

Next, write down a brief introduction to this document. Suppose this was created because a few students failed to secure good academic standing. In that case, you need to write that you are preparing this plan to improve the performance of the few (mention the exact number) students who did not get enough marks.

Step 3: Write Down the Goal

s

To improve their performance, certain things need to be done. This should be written down in the goals section. This can get extremely detailed if in this example each of the students requires individual care. In that case, you have to figure out the strengths and weaknesses of each of the students.

Step 4: Create a Table

In the next part, we need to list out the various actionable that are needed to make sure that we reach our goal. So if there are a certain number of students we need to create a table having that many numbers of rows +1 for the heading. The number of columns should be four. The first one should have the name of the student.  The other ones should be ‘subject’, ‘area of weakness’ and teacher assigned respectively.

Step 5: Signature of Approval

Once such a plan is created there should be a higher authority who needs to supervise this and see to it that this is the optimal plan. Once that is decided, the person concerned needs to approve it. So the last section should have space for the person to write his name and put his signature and his designation. Also, enter the date.

What is an Academic Plan?

An academic plan‘s sole purpose is to offer a guiding framework in which faculty, administration, and staff – along with the students can point toward the academic future of the institution. An academic planner sets the tasks, activities, events, exams and all other academic events that are scheduled to take place during an entire academic, ic year. It lays down the planning of the student’s academic details and keeps a record of his/ her performance. Such academic plans can be easily made now by using the free planner templates.
