How To Create a Quotation in Google Docs [Template + Example]

Create a Quotation in Google Docs Step-by-Step Instructions

For a company, an organization, or an individual to get a good quotation for a project, services, or job they have to do, they can create a quotation to give to their clients as a means of showing them the proposed price of their services or materials needed to complete the project. Here is how you can create a customized quotation through Google Docs

Step 1: Look for a Construction Quotation Template

To look for a construction quotation template, go to Template.net and type in the search bar “construction quotation template” and click enter. You will be shown a list of construction quotation templates you can choose from to download. 

Step 2: Choose Google Docs to Download Template

On the same page of the construction quotation template you will see the words “download template” and below it a series of download formats to choose from. For Google Docs, click on Google Docs to proceed with the download. 

Step 3: Open Template in a Different Tab

You will receive a prompt to “make a copy” and by pressing the button, it will direct you to open a different tab. The new tab will give you the copy of the construction quotation template where you can check to see if all the required pages and default information are complete. 

Step 4: Insert Company Logo

To insert the company logo on the very top of your construction quotations template, go to the “insert” button and look for images. The images arrow will direct you to another set of options like upload from computer, search the web, drive, photos, by URL, or camera. 

Step 5: Fill Out the Details Needed

From the quotation number down to the client information, everything has to be filled out in order for the document to be completed. Fill out the ones highlighted in yellow and write down the complete details that are true and correct. 

Step 6: Add the Details in the Table

Just like the ones on the very top of the document, the ones below like the tables have to be placed with the correct information for the construction quotation to be workable. Be sure that the information is placed in the correct column or row. 

Step 7: Print the Construction Quotation Document

Once everything has been edited to your specifications, Google Docs automatically saves everything that has been written or edited. To print your document, go to file, click on print and adjust the necessary specifications before you start printing.
