US Letter-Size Pipeline

US Letter is the most common size for most documents including reports and forms. The dimensions are 8.5 inches × 11″ inches or if translated to millimeters, it is 215.9 mm × 279.4 mm.

Legal-Size Pipeline

Although not as commonly used as Letter size, the Legal paper size may apply to pipeline documents as well. Again, it depends on the individual  needs of the company or organization. Legal size measures 8.5 × 14 inches in width and length, respectively. When converted to millimeters, the measurements are 215.9 × 355.6 mm. However, this size is usually reserved for legal documents such as contracts and memoranda of agreement.

A4-Size Pipeline

Since they are quite similar in dimension, the A4 document makes an excellent substitute for US Letter size. It is only slightly taller and narrower with dimensions of 8.3 inches × 11.7 inches. In millimeters, the approximate conversion is 210.82 × 297.18 mm. When drafting a pipeline using A4 size, you can use either portrait or landscape orientation but just make sure that the margins and paragraph spacing are consistent.
