What Is a School Chart?
A School Chart or a School Organizational Chart is a matrix that composes the names of professionals in a school. They are usually arranged from top to bottom according to their authority with the School Head/Board of Trustees at the top then to the teachers/students at the bottom. Its purpose is for everyone to be aware of their roles and responsibilities.
Aside from a school organizational chart, there are also school charts for kids. These are either educational, behavior trackers or welcome charts and are typically displayed in classrooms. Educational school charts are composed of drawings or illustrations of animals or ABCs or the alphabet.
To nurture the young students' linguistic prowess, these are intentionally made in the English language that is either printed or handmade.
How to Create a School Chart?
Creating school charts isn't difficult when you are aware of the positions of the school officers and are knowledgeable about creating organizational charts. We will provide you tips below on how to create a systematic school chart.
1. Familiarize the People Holding Certain Positions in Your School

To avoid confusion among the Head/Board of Trustees, don't forget to indicate it as "for review". If there are revisions to be made, work on it immediately, and submit it for a secondary review.
3. Organize Your School Chart in a Single Page
Fit your simple chart into a single page as much as possible. A two-page school chart will make it look cluttered. For ample spacing, opt for a horizontal format. You can also incorporate school chart borders to make it more presentable.
4. As Much as Possible, Your Boxes Should Have Identical Sizes and Ample Spacing
Basic charts are tidier when they have identical sizes and ample spacing. You might find this arduous but there are actually tools or software that will make this task easier.
5. Indicate the Position First Then the Person Holding It
You may have noticed that some school charts indicate the name of the person first instead of their position title. This is incorrect because position titles are the determinants of why a certain person is placed there. Place their position titles first then followed by their names below.
6. People With the Same Position Title Should Be Contained in a Single Box
This technique saves a lot of space and is more practical than creating a box for each one of them. You can also decide on a color-coding to easily determine the list of people. Just indicate a Legend at the bottom of the school chart to guide the reader along.
