Food Service Assistant Job Description

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a responsible and self-motivated Food Service Assistant to provide support to our dining establishment. This role is integral to ensuring our customers receive the best meal experience possible. You will be working closely with other members of the team and contribute to the overall operation of our establishment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring adherence to quality, and health standards.
• Clean and maintain the service area, dining area, and kitchen facilities.
• Assisting kitchen staff as needed.
• Handle cash register and manage customer transactions.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a food service assistant or similar role.
• Ability to handle food-related equipment.
• Strong knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a high-pressure environment.
• Good physical condition and endurance.

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, although training will be provided for the right candidate. An understanding of the food service industry is advantageous.

Additional Requirements

Availability to work in shifts, during weekends, and holidays is a must in this role, as our establishment operates 7 days a week.
