Job Title: Gift Shop Cashier

At Artisan Treasures Gallery, we're looking for a responsible and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Gift Shop Cashier. This role requires someone who can provide optimal customer service in our unique retail environment, and ensure smooth sales transactions and proper inventory management.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Greet customers in a welcoming manner, provide assistance in finding products, and guide purchasing decisions.
Address inquiries, resolve issues or complaints in an effective, professional manner.
Accurately process sales transactions with a variety of payment options, including cash, credit/debit cards, and gift certificates.
Follow cash handling policies and maintain a balanced cash drawer at all times.
Assist in receiving and verifying merchandise shipments, and maintain and monitor stock levels of merchandise.
Ensure shop areas are well-merchandised and stocked.

Skills and Competencies:

Possess excellent skills in customer service and communication.
Demonstrate proficiency in cash handling and operating POS systems.
Detail-oriented and has the ability to multitask effectively.
Capable of managing inventory and restocking as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience in a retail or customer service position is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience in cash handling and basic math skills.

Additional Requirements:

Availability for flexible scheduling including weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
