Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair malfunctioning gym equipment. Identify issues through physical inspection and testing, determine necessary repairs, and execute solutions efficiently.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Ensure all maintenance records are up-to-date and accurately reflect the condition of the equipment.
Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety checks on all equipment to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations. Address any safety concerns immediately and report potential hazards to the Facilities Manager.
Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and setup of new fitness equipment. Ensure that all equipment is installed according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Member Interaction: Provide assistance and technical support to gym members regarding the proper use of equipment. Address any member concerns about equipment functionality or safety.
Vendor Coordination: Liaise with equipment vendors and suppliers for parts ordering and to stay updated on the latest equipment updates and recall notices.
Training Staff: Train other maintenance staff and gym employees on basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma required. Technical training or certification in mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems is highly preferred.
Experience: At least two years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a gym or similar fitness facility.
Skills:
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Proficient in the use of tools and repair equipment.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
