Step 1: Open Google Drive and Create a New Folder
On your web browser, enter drive.google.com to open Google Drive. Once you’re in, open a new folder. The new folder is where you’ll upload your PowerPoint presentation. -
Step 2: Open the New Folder and Upload Your PowerPoint File
Open the new folder you created. When you’re already in the folder, click New and select File Upload. Find your PowerPoint presentation’s location in your computer folders to upload it. In this step, you’re basically importing PowerPoint slides to Google.

Step 3: Open the Uploaded Presentation
Once your PowerPoint presentation is uploaded, click on it to open it in Google Slides. You can also right-click and choose the option Open With then select Google Slides. In this process, you’re essentially importing to Google Slides or uploading to Google Slides a new presentation. -
Step 4: Save Presentation as Google Slides
Once you open the uploaded presentation, it brings you to docs.google.com/presentation. The appearance of your PowerPoint presentation will be intact. With it, you won’t have to create a Google Slides presentation from scratch. To convert it, open the File drop-down menu and select Save as Google Slides. Moreover, you can also download Google Slides in Microsoft PowerPoint.
