Why People Love to Party
We all love parties. Admit it, whether it is a “the booze and endless talk about nothingness” parties, costume parties, or your typical frat parties—every type of party. We love them simply because they allow us to enjoy much of our time, talking nonsense with our favorite people, and oh, let’s not forget about the food, of course, bunch of food in all sorts. That makes party an amusement and a goodie haven for all partygoers. Still, there are numerous reasons why people really love to party. Let’s get to know some of them.
- “Stupid actions” are socially accepted. For the most stupid actions, alcohol can be the best form of excuse. Just after a few shots, people start to act like lunatics, dancing with all their might like no one’s looking at them. It is a time where people can express themselves freely without any traces of fear. So if conveying what you really feel is not your style or if you’re just too shy, then let’s drink to that.
- It can be easily detected if a person is single or already taken. If you are there with full energy to move from one place to another, to socialize, dance, and have much fun, then you are in the market. It is like a place where people who are already there just for a single purpose to meet other people too. Well, probably not for the same reasons, however, at a regular level. Before you know it, you already have something in common.
- It is everyone’s hidden desire to escape from reality even for just once. A party setting where people don’t really mind where you came from or what you’ve done is a perfect horizon. How you look, your confidence, and moves are the only basis of scrutiny. Regardless if you want to escape from your mundane activities, fears, or thoughts, this setting is an ideal field for distraction from the lights to the hot guy or chick beside you on the bar. After every party, there’s always a new story to tell. It can be something you’re proud of or something you deeply regret. However, no matter how heavenly a moment can be, you have to recognize that it is not forever. It is just an escape and no matter how many times you refuse to accept it; still, you can’t run away from reality.
- For extremely gregarious individuals. You like to meet new people and having fun. There are a lot of people around, drinking, talking, and stalking you; but you don’t give any care. You are like a ball of energy that is full of excitement. You have every reason to approve every party invites. So if you are this type of person, then parties are best for you.
Whether you love being with people or not, you love parties or not, still checking in at a party once in a while is worth it. You get to know people, be friends with them, and have fun.

Most Common Types of Parties
- Surprise Party. A surprise party is a party that is not made known beforehand to the person in whose honor it is being held. Birthday surprise parties are the most common kind of surprise party. The guests will arrive an hour or so before the celebrant arrives. Usually, a friend in on the surprise will lead the celebrant to the venue without letting him or her know or giving any hint. The guests might even hide themselves and when the celebrant arrives, they will then all leap and shout “Suprise!” Streamers, silly string, balloons, and, most importantly, surprise party invitations (sans the guest of honor) may be used for this purpose. Decorations and balloons are kept first so that the celebrant will not suspect it.
- Cocktail Party. A cocktail party is a party at which cocktails are served. It is sometimes called a “cocktail banquet.” Women who attend a cocktail party usually wear a cocktail dress. A cocktail hat is sometimes worn to add the and complete the look or as a form of fashion statement.
- Birthday Party. This is the most common party. Party venues are basically decorated with colorful decorations, such as balloons and streamers. A birthday cake is usually served with lit candles that are to be blown out after a birthday wish has been made. The person being honored will be given the first piece of cake. While the birthday cake is being brought to the table, the song “Happy Birthday to You” or some other birthday song is sung by the guests. In a children’s party, gift opening is often the center of attraction, wherein the celebrant opens each of the gifts brought. Children and even adults sometimes wear colorful cone-shaped party hats.
- Tea Party. In Anglo-American culture, a tea party is a formal gathering for afternoon tea. These parties were traditionally attended only by women, but men may also be invited. Tea parties are often characterized by the use of prestigious tableware, such as bone china and silver. The table, whatever its size or cost, is made to look its prettiest, with cloth napkins and matching cups and plates. Additionally, larger parties may serve punch or hot chocolate in cold weather. The tea is then associated by different variety of easily managed foods. Thin sandwiches, such as cucumber or tomato, bananas, cake slices, buns, and cookies are all common choices.
- Christmas Party. An event often held by companies in which employees frequently consume more alcohol than a baby elephant. Drinking liquor, playing games, inner-office hookups, some guy you know from a different department puts a lampshade on his head, and the boss gets sloshed and fires everyone are typical events.
These are just some common parties we often witness. If you are planning any of these, we have invitation samples that will match the event. One of best examples we have to offer are this luxurious black-and-white party invitations.

So You’re Planning a Perfect Party . . .
You get a solid idea one day that you want to gather all your friends and acquaintances and fit them all in one tiny room so they could all meet each other and have a couple laughs and some drinks (and the off chance to network with other people). But you don’t know where to start. (Big surprise.) Read on and help us help you become the best party host you’ll ever be.
Decide the Perfect Venue
If you plan on having quite a few guests and can’t do it at home, you may want to make reservations at your venue beforehand to make sure they can accommodate you. It is ideal to call in advance to reserve the place. Make sure to set a date on the invitation card on when to RSVP. If they don’t respond by then, call them.
Check the Ideal Date and Time for Your Party
If it’s a birthday party, most people try to have the party on that date. Otherwise, any weekend evening or night is generally best so that you and your guests do not have to worry about school or work the day after. Most parties are dinner parties, but a brunch or afternoon party is also a great idea. Also, make sure to pick a date when most of your guests are free. You may also want to have a duration of time for your party. It also helps people not to worry about an unscheduled departure.
Choose an Appropriate Theme
Do something that’s accessible, especially if the party this weekend. An all-black party is easy; a 1940s party is not. Do something that is not related with an outfit. A tea or sandwich party could be an awesome selection. If can’t decide on any theme, it’s better for friends to get together and enjoy each others’ company.
Plan Your Guest List
Not everyone likes to dance and not everyone wants to listen to the music; some people want to talk and just chill. If your party is one kind or the other, take that into account with your guest list. However, you can also try to accommodate for different interests and levels of social comfort with space planning. Also, check whether you want your friends to bring other people or not. That can affect regarding how many heads you have to plan for and the amount of food you’ve prepared.
Determine Your Budget
If this is your party, it’s highly likely you’re responsible for all major and minor expenses. You may also have to decorate even if you don’t have it at your home. If it’s not that much, you can ask a few friends a favor if they can chip in. A good way to deflect the costs of a party is to have a potluck. This way, everyone chips in and is a part of the fun and you don’t have to pay for all the food. You could also specifically assign certain people to bring drinks, ice, plates, napkins, and cutlery.
Make a Party Playlist
Choose music that you think will be most coincide to the spirit of your party and your guests. It’s a good idea to have an YouTube or Spotify window open on your computer so you can download tunes or play videos that guests might suggest.
Leave Them a Token from the Party
Whether it’s leftover food, a cupcake, or a party favor, it’s nice to have something for your guests to leave the party with. That way, everyone leaves with a piece of the party, feeling like they were involved and had a good time and will also act as a great souvenir.
