7 Steps to Write Tax Invoice In Excel
Step 1: Open Blank Workbook

Step 2: Write the Heading
Invoice heading is necessary so that you can identify your invoice for future references. The heading will consist of the name of the company where the invoice funds will be allocated, the description of the type of invoice, the current date of writing the invoice and the invoice number. Step 3: Mention Addresses
The next step is to make a heading and name it sender and recipient address. This would include the information of your name, company you work for and the address of the along with phone number. Then you need to include the same information for your client as well. Don’t forget to mention the email address of both parties.
Step 4: Enter Billing Information
Now add another column named billing information, where you need to include a small description of the product or service. Then add a column for quantity, one for the rate of the product and the last column to calculate the total price of the product or service provided.
Step 5: Calculate the Total Bill
The next step would be to calculate the total price of the rates written individually in the rate column. Just click and drag the mouse from the first price to the last price and apply the SUM function of the Excel sheet. The total price will be calculated automatically.
Step 6: Include Additional Terms
Include payment terms and conditions. This can either occur above or below the data on accounting. Common payment terms are “Due on request,” “Due within 14 days,” “Due within 30 days,” or “Due within 60 days.” You may also want to include a document at the top of the invoice containing approved delivery techniques, overall data, or a thank-you for working with you to your client.
Step 7: Save the Invoice
Use a name to distinguish between this invoice and other invoices that you sent to your customer if necessary. To save your invoice, you need to click ‘Save As’, double-click a location, register the address of your invoice, and click ‘Save’.
