1. A Campaign Letter Should Look Professional

When writing for a campaign, you should do so with the professionalism that matches the gravity of the matter, which means having to set up a proper format. After opening a new document in your chosen text processor (MS Word, Apple Pages, etc), choose between A4 or US letter for the page’s size. Next, apply margins that are 1 inch in length for all of the document’s sides.

2. Your Letter’s Title, Date, and Recipient

After setting a general layout for your document, it’s time to get to writing. First, since you’re making a formal letter with a specific purpose, add an appropriate title to the top (within the margin)--align it to the center. Next, input the current date and align it to the left side to maintain the professional layout. And then, write down the intended recipient's name, leaving 2 spaces between that and the date; add their mailing address just underneath.
