1. A Campaign Letter Should Look Professional
When writing for a campaign, you should do so with the professionalism that matches the gravity of the matter, which means having to set up a proper format. After opening a new document in your chosen text processor (MS Word, Apple Pages, etc), choose between A4 or US letter for the page’s size. Next, apply margins that are 1 inch in length for all of the document’s sides.
2. Your Letter’s Title, Date, and Recipient
After setting a general layout for your document, it’s time to get to writing. First, since you’re making a formal letter with a specific purpose, add an appropriate title to the top (within the margin)--align it to the center. Next, input the current date and align it to the left side to maintain the professional layout. And then, write down the intended recipient's name, leaving 2 spaces between that and the date; add their mailing address just underneath. For letters not addressed to a specific person, input a company name instead.

Write down an opening salutation for your letter, which should be “Dear Mr/Ms [FULL NAME],” for this part; when not addressing someone, in particular, use “To whom it may concern,” instead. After that, Start composing the primary dialog of your campaign with an informative opening statement/paragraph that states your letter’s purpose. Next, go ahead and work on the primary dialog, using subheaders to section it out as needed.
4. Ending Your Campaign Letter
As you finish up your letter’s contents, don’t forget to include a closing line/statement; for a campaign letter, you can go with a reply request, a CTA (call-to-action), or an expression of gratitude. After that’s done, write down “Regards,” or “Sincerely,” for your closing line, followed by your name after going 4 spaces below; use the empty space for your written or email signature.
